Doctoral Programs
The School of Medicine offers four different doctoral programs through the Medical Graduate Center:
- Medicine or Dentistry (Dr. med. or Dr. med. dent.)
- Translational Medicine (Dr. med. sci.)
- Experimental Medicine (Dr. rer. nat.)
- Ph.D. Medical Life Science and Technology
Habilitations
Habilitations are an important instrument for promoting young scientists at the School of Medicine. The habilitation is a university examination by which the teaching qualification in a scientific subject is established within the framework of an academic examination procedure. The recognition of the teaching qualification forms the prerequisite for the additional granting of the authorization to teach.
Clinician Scientist Programm - Committee for Clinical Research
The University Hospital rechts der Isar offers two structured Clinician Scientist Programs for physicians in residency training through the Committee for Clinical Research, the Entry Program with a 4-month grant and the 12-month Main Program.
